Amy Clarke Mark Making

MARK MAKING IN NATURE- MIXED MEDIA PAINTING WORKSHOP WITH AMY CLARKE

Well regarded Sunshine Coast Artists Amy Clarke creates stunning paintings which reflect her deep connection of growing up in the Australian bush.

‘It is my belief that the directness of a simple childhood and our daily engagement with nature laid the foundations for me being an artist concerned with the organic part of life. The natural world is where I feel most grounded, connected and content. It is part of who I am. To an extent my painting practice is part ‘play’. It allows me to tap into those memories and ways of making and playing in the Australian landscape.’

Amy is a great conversationalist and story teller and will share and guide you on a journey of deep connection with the land.

This workshop is all about experimenting and taking risks.  It is process.  Expectations and outcome will be left at the door!  By focusing on different ways of making marks you can tap into unexpected magic.  Think painting with sticks and leaves and using natural found pigments.

We will be tapping into the beautiful surrounds of Atelier 34 so get ready for some solid time in nature!
